In the beginning, there were listservs delivered by email.
Then there were blogs, and I wrote a lot of them. The most successful was the Better Posters blog, a single serve blog for academics making conference posters. This eventually led to a book of the same name.
Then there was social media.
Now there are… newsletters delivered by email? Seriously, we’re back to emails? Okay then.
Living on the Internet as I do, I have learned that it’s not much good railing against the vagaries of which platform is hot or not. I have learned to go where the people are - at least when I can reasonably do so.
I don’t believe for a second blogs are dead, but the internet landscape is far more different than it was when I started the Better Posters blog over a decade ago. I am always looking for new ways to help people connect with the ideas there, and I thought maybe the time was right to try a new experiment.
So here we are:
Right now, I don’t plan on creating any exclusive content here: this is just another way to share blog content that some people might prefer to checking the blog website. The ideas will remain free.
